“Rose Gold” was recorded in a home studio in Brooklyn. I originally wrote the melody and lyrics acoustically then spent a long time searching for tones evocative of a dreamy past. The words “Rose Gold” brought to mind a delirious hazy memory. The song is sad but hopeful in tone, about a gilded time growing up with friends and big dreams— some which never come to pass.
